Dear Mom,

Ready for Beautiful Photos?

Here’s What you need to Know

Creating Beautiful Memories Together

Your newborn photo session is a precious opportunity to capture timeless moments with your baby and family. Here are some helpful tips for parents, siblings, and your little one to prepare and ensure the experience is smooth and enjoyable.

Outfit Preparation Is One of The Keys to Timeless Photos

For Parents and Family:

Choose neutral, solid colored outfits with no prints or logos. Soft tones like beige, cream, light gray, or pastels work best. I can always work with the colors of your preference.

Coordinate your outfits to create a harmonious look. Once you’ve selected your colors, I will match the baby’s wraps and outfits to complement the family’s attire.

For Siblings:

Dress siblings in casual, comfortable clothes for the trip to the studio. You can change them into their photoshoot outfits upon arrival.

Neutral tones and soft textures for siblings’ outfits ensure the focus remains on the family and baby.

What to Bring for Your Baby:

I provide everything your newborn needs for the session, including wraps, outfits, and props. You only need to bring:

-Diapers

-A pacifier

-Extra formula and bottles (if bottle feeding)

-A favorite blanket or small comfort item will make the baby more confortable in the studio new environment .

If You’re Nursing:

Avoid acidic or gassy foods (like citrus, broccoli, beans, or spicy dishes) 24 hours before the session. Please, Google and research about these type of foods. Some babies are sensitive to these foods, which can cause fussiness.

A calm, content baby makes the session smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.

Feeding Your Baby:

It’s best to feed your baby when you get to the studio. A baby with a full tummy is relaxed and sleeps better and helps create those beautiful, peaceful newborn photos.

Preparing For The Big Day

For Parents:

Rest the night before when your baby sleeps . Being well rested will help you feel your best.

Eat a hearty breakfast and stay hydrated. Bring along your favorite snacks in case you get hungry. I provide some snacks, but I encourage you to bring your own due to potential allergies or sensitivities.

For Siblings:

Explain the session to your children the night before and repeat it before you leave your home. You ca show my photos from my website so they know who they will meet (Flora!) and what to expect.

Ensure they have a good night’s sleep and eat a hearty breakfast.

Pack their favorite snacks, a sippy cup (if needed), and travel toys. I have a basket of toys at the studio, but having familiar items can make them feel more comfortable.

During the Session

Keeping Siblings Engaged:

If siblings are part of the photoshoot, I recommend starting with family photos. If you live nearby, Dad can take the kids home or to school after their portion is done. If staying, they can play with toys in the studio or explore a nearby park with Dad.

Patience is key with young children. We’ll keep their participation light and fun.

For Parents Attending Without Siblings:

Focus on your baby’s essentials and your comfort.
